Snakes, what's your opinion?

So many people are afraid of snakes. Can't blame them, they do look a little creepy. But why be afraid of them, there is nothing to be afraid of unless they are poisonous.

I own an albino corn snake. He is a non-venomous snake and is about 5 feet long. He is a very gentle snake named Jake that is used to being around humans (he has lived with us for about 14 years).
